Request the toll route when you book and the car crosses above Whitby, Markham, Richmond Hill, and Vaughan without a single traffic light, then descends the 427 to reach Pearson from the north. The 407's toll is added to your fare at cost, and on a weekday afternoon it typically buys back 15 to 20 minutes against the Scarborough crawl. Evenings and weekends, the free 401 run is usually just as fast — most riders save their money.
